Michael Fowdrey is a media artist who is currently studying Interactive Arts. His work is often partially comprised of a traditional analogue technique, in addition to a digital process. The end result is usually a sequence of sculptures, drawings, a piece of film or animation.
The focus of Michael's work rests upon the consequences of random events; the unseen forces at work in the world around us which remain invisible and ethereal until exposed. The natural eddies in water unveiled by droplets of ink, the gradual movements of clouds and plant life that can only be observed through time lapse photography, and the array of unseen microscopic life around us. These are the stimuli which provide the impetus for Michael's work. In addition Michael works with seemingly ambiguous objects from his immediate surroundings which most people would consider innocuous and unremarkable, by injecting them with personality and character he creates an altered narrative.
Feel free to contact Michael about any of his work.
